CHOICE GRADE OROBLANCOS 

With "Choice Grade" Oroblanco Grapefruit, beauty is merely “skin deep”.  After we grade  the fruit, sometimes we end up with fruit that can be soft to the touch, or can have some blemishes due to sun, wind or even minor hail damage.   Sure these Choice Grade Oroblancos aren’t perfect on the outside, and the sizes in the box can vary, but whatever you do, don’t think for a minute that these grapefruits are not as delicious inside as our premium grade ones! So in order to find a home for all the fruit, we are offering these choice grade Oroblancos directly to you. And because of their little “imperfections,” we can’t sell them at the premium price, which means you get to enjoy all the goodness of your delicious, favorite Oroblanco grapefruit at a discount! How great is that?  

When talking about California grown, Ororblanco Grapefruit, the name refers to the subtle "white" flesh of the fruit, because oro blanco in Spanish literally means "white gold." Though the technical name of the variety is spelled as one word (Oroblanco), it is commonly accepted spelled as two separate words. Either way, oroblanco or oro blanco grapefruit is a cross between a pomelo and a white grapefruit. Sometimes also referred to as a "Sweetie", they are indeed sweet while lacking the bitterness of a common grapefruit. With a thicker skin, they are as easy to peel as an orange, and filled with up to 110% of the recommended daily allowance for Vitamin C' in each one, you will be eager to start your day at the breakfast table ready to... "go for the gold!

They didn't seem as good as least years crops

They didn't seem as good as least years crops. A bit more bitter, a thinner pith and they didn't keep as long. The pulp was sometimes...crisp, if that makes any sense. I know many variables can affect produce in general,sooo.

Oro Blanc's are incredible

Oro Blanc's are incredible. They have the best of all worlds for Grapefruit. Great grapefruit flavor, practically none of the bitterness usually associated with grapefruit, and juicy sweetness that you dont expect ! I love them

Great Fruit, Great Service

My recent order of Oroblanco was in great shape when it arrived. Am currently enjoying it every morning. Perfect flavor. The Oroblanco's remain fresh in my refrigerator. The only sad thing is they will be gone soon and will not be back until next year. Please keep growing them.

Definately worth the price

Can't go wrong with Oroblancos

These are always good, and the last box we got was sublime. It's pretty easy to peel away all the pith and then you're left with these perfectly sweet and sour segments. Great on salads.

Love Blanco Oro grapefruit

So glad to have a final shipment of Blanco Oro grapefruit. There was only one spoiled fruit and because the fruit was so ripe it could have been expected. I shared my grapefruit with 2 separate individuals that had never had any kind of grapefruit before. I hope that they understand that the typical grapefruit is not as sweet and possibly not as delicious as Blanco Oro's are !
