Something special about Oranges in Summer...Did you know that in the summer months perfectly ripe Oranges, while still hanging on the tree can start to once again show shades of green color? In the world of citrus farming it is called "re-greening". Simply stated, the warm daytime temperatures may cause reabsorption of chlorophyll back into the skin of the orange, causing the partial green color to occur. However, rest assured; in no way does it affect the deliciously sweet, tangy flavor!

Pearson's Ranch California Valencia Oranges have a outstanding sweet flavor and are easy to peel. Most of the fruit have no seeds, but some do have a seed or two. They came quickly and they keep well in the refrigerator. We have loved all the fruit that we have gotten from Pearson's Ranch! They really know when to pick their fruit for the very best flavor!

Over the decades of selling oranges online, we know that the flavor of the Valencias vs. Navels can certainly 'hit' people differently. We have customers that will only order Navels and some that only order Valencias. The Valencia oranges from order 39782 purchased on 08/03/2025 were much better than the Valencia oranges from order 39240 purchased on 07/06/2025. Maybe the July shipment was too early in the season. I order the premium level Valencia oranges with premium expectations. I just ordered 10 pounds of Valencia premium oranges on 08/18/2025 with high expectations for great citrus! Lemons were great. Shipping was an issue, first it didn’t go out on time due to weather and then fedx left box outside an open gate on a long driveway. As a result recipient didn’t know it was there until much later.
