Something special about Oranges in Summer...Did you know that in the summer months perfectly ripe Oranges, while still hanging on the tree can start to once again show shades of green color? In the world of citrus farming it is called "re-greening". Simply stated, the warm daytime temperatures may cause reabsorption of chlorophyll back into the skin of the orange, causing the partial green color to occur. However, rest assured; in no way does it affect the deliciously sweet, tangy flavor!
Like they say, unless you grow them yourself, I can't imagine finding better quality citrus anywhere else. This is my second purchase from Pearson and they have been exceptional with both quality of product, fast shipping, and communication. I’m so happy I stumbled onto Pearson Ranch. I live in NYC where the fruit is never good. Last night, at 10pm, I craved something sweet. No cookies in the house. But I had ORANGES! What a delight. First time to order the 10 lbs and finally have enough to get me through the month. I love them and use them in my water. I love that they are easy on my stomach. There wasn't a bad one in the bunch. I use 2 a day. This is my go to place for Meyer lemons! Keep them coming!
