Something special about Oranges in Summer...Did you know that in the summer months perfectly ripe Oranges, while still hanging on the tree can start to once again show shades of green color? In the world of citrus farming it is called "re-greening". Simply stated, the warm daytime temperatures may cause reabsorption of chlorophyll back into the skin of the orange, causing the partial green color to occur. However, rest assured; in no way does it affect the deliciously sweet, tangy flavor!

I bought Pearson because a friend of mine was mailed a box from a friend of theirs who was gifted a box from a friend of their and so on and so on. I gave some of mine away because I just couldn't believe the sweetness, the difference in taste than ones I get at the grocer. Sweet, vibrant, like oranges I remember as a kid. These are oranges as they SHOULD be tasting!

Valencia Oranges
I wasn't at all disappointed that my order wasn't able to be filled due to the heat your area was experiencing at that time. My order was filled the following week, and my Valencia oranges arrived in perfect condition.
I was in the restaurant business in the '80's and early '90's and we only ordered Valencia oranges for our Sunday Brunch. I remember the oranges being so juicy and so sweet. I gave these five stars because these were very juicy but, unfortunately, they weren't as sweet as I remember . . . perhaps my memory is clouded . . . but they were still sweet. I highly recommend Pearson Ranch.

Valencias are the best! Great Service.
I grew up in So. Cal, in the 1950's -1960's and always loved Valencia Oranges.
Then I moved to New England and they were't available. I'm now in CO & had a hankering for them, so I decided to splurge and order online. They arrived in great condition and I've really been enjoying them. Just delicious. My taste buds are cheering. I had forgotten they were so much oranger on the inside. Next season, I hope to afford more.

Lemons were great. Shipping was an issue, first it didn’t go out on time due to weather and then fedx left box outside an open gate on a long driveway. As a result recipient didn’t know it was there until much later.
